Biking, hiking and more
There are wonderful cycling routes in the area. B&B Het Schipperskerkje is located on the EuroVelo and Rhine Cycle Route, and with App of the bicycle route network you can create beautiful routes. Bikes can be rented at Hammink Fietsplezier, balance bikes at Blij Bezig and E-Choppers at Liemers Xperience.
The B&B is also a good base for beautiful walks to the German Elten with the Elternerberg, the Gelderland Gate and wooden shoes paths nearby such as the Rijnweidepad and of course the Pieterpad.
About 300 meters away is Watersports Center De Bijland, a large 300-hectare water sports area. in the floodplains of the Gelderse Poort nature development area. The area has modern and attractive facilities for both day recreationists and water sports enthusiasts. There is plenty of space for undisturbed surfing, pedal boating, sailing, boating or swimming.
For what else to experience in the region, check out the websites of the Tourist Information Center ‘t Gelders Eiland in Tolkamer and of Look further into the Liemers.
For shoppers, Arnhem is 20 km away, it has a nice center and a fashion district with many small clothing boutiques. The German towns of Enmmerich and Kleve are also nearby and worth visiting.

B&B Het Schipperkerkje is located directly on the famous Pieterpad, 5 km before the end point on the Braamt – Millingen aan de Rijn stage.
