Located directly on one of the most beautiful stages of the Pieterpad and within walking distance of the Rhine River and recreational lake De Bijland. The B&B has 2 rooms with private bathrooms and a private entrance through the impressive church doors at the front.

Located on the Rhine, the B&B offers an ideal base for walking a stage of the Pieterpad, for cycling and discovering the beautiful nature reserve the Bijland.
Restaurants
Within walking and biking distance are several restaurants and a large supermarket. On the organ gallery is a combination microwave with grill function to warm up a meal.

B&B Het Schipperkerkje is located on the famous Pieterpad, making it an ideal place to spend the night to continue your route fresh the next day.
History
The 1st church building was built in 1936. In 2003, it was withdrawn from worship and dedicated to residential use. B&B Het Schipperskerkje opened in 2023.

Delightful B&B run by Michel and Hijmen, the new owners of this distinctive Schippers church. The 2 rooms (both with their own luxurious bathroom, whirlpool tub!) are in the roof of the little church. Michel has a hospitality background and you notice it in everything. Hijmen (more than creditably) plays the organ -from edifying to Star Trek melodies) and even dog Bart is playful and friendly with everyone (but also stays quietly in his basket when told to). In short, a wonderful place to be pampered!
What a wonderful experience it was arriving, sleeping, showering, having breakfast at Het Schipperskerkje and being waved off by owners Hijmen and Michel. Ideally located on the Pieterpad and equipped with really all conveniences (including the necessary blister plasters), it was heaven for us at the end of a long hiking day. The enthusiasm of the hosts and their warm welcome to the perfectly groomed and cozy place made all fatigue disappear. Truly a top B&B. Thank you men!
This weekend during our 15th and 16th leg we had the pleasure of staying here. Everything is right here! Nice room (we had the smaller one with a private bathroom opposite the room), fully equipped, beds made separately upon request and (not that I needed them) 10 coat hangers, my focal point always. Honesty bar with complimentary coffee/tea and water and the first drink is on the house.
